There was a festive atmosphere as Berlin celebrated the opening of the Berlin Biennial {and the arrival of a the much anticipated & long-awaited summer}. All venues were packed out as we all attempted to get a glimpse of the work before surrendering to a cold beer outside. My pick so far is Shannon Ebner {best known for her photographic and sculptural works that investigate language and its meaning}. For me, her project at the Kunst-Werke managed to overcome the crowds and the heat to stand-out.
